Description

This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 in-office days required each week.
Hybrid – St. Louis, MO (Tuesdays and Fridays in office)
About the Role
At UniGroup, we help connect people and their belongings across the country. Occasionally, things do not end up where they should, and that is where our Claims Support Specialists come in. This role is part detective, part problem solver, and part negotiator. You will be responsible for investigating overages and shortages, tracing misdelivered items, and ensuring property gets back to its rightful owner.

What You Will Do

  • Receive and prioritize inquiries regarding reported overages and shortages, often managing hundreds of open traces
  • Analyze data, files, and correspondence to track where items may have gone, from warehouse stops to final delivery
  • Communicate extensively with agents, drivers, and customers to gather information and resolve issues
  • Persuade and motivate agents to take corrective actions while balancing customer satisfaction with cost-effective solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of unresolved reports and follow up to closure
  • Apply sound judgment and initiative while aligning with standard operating practices

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma and 1 to 2 years of related experience (customer service, claims, or operations background a plus)
  • Strong problem solving and investigative skills, with a natural curiosity to figure out the “why”
  • Excellent communication and persuasion abilities, able to influence others without conflict
  • Mental toughness and resilience, with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage a high volume of inquiries

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Hybrid: In-office on Tuesdays and Fridays to process incoming mail and forms, remote on other days
