The purpose of this role is to review and consider treatment requests including surgery requests and making evidence based decisions whilst providing an empathetic customer experience through a deep technical specialisation in complex claims. This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week once fully trained. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum recovery post-surgery for workers with reasonable claim costs Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions. Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy, in accordance with EML procedures if required. Request and review medical information to ensure sound decision-making occurs around complex surgery requests Communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the complex nature of decisions is understood by all.
