As a Clamp Truck Operator / Starch Mixer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our corrugator supplied and running smoothly. You’ll safely operate a clamp truck to move paper rolls, help maintain an organized warehouse, and mix starch that keeps the production line flowing. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure we meet customer expectations with high-quality corrugated board made from recycled paper. Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM) — Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed Starting Pay: $19.10/hour – Eligible for pay increases at 90 days and 6 months based on performance and attendance. What You’ll Do * Safely operate the clamp truck to unload, move, and stage paper rolls for production. * Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. * Read and follow corrugator lineups while supporting production goals for cost, quality, and delivery. * Track, mark, and return rolls as needed to ensure efficient use of materials. * Keep the warehouse clean and organized. * Mix starch according to company formulas, monitor viscosity, and complete accurate checklists. * Assist corrugator operators and support wet-end training for new team members. * Follow all company safety standards and maintain good housekeeping. Who You Are * You’re dependable and show up ready to work every day * You can read and follow work orders and production instructions in English * You’re able to use a tape measure and apply basic high school-level math * You’re observant and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to product quality * You’re willing to learn, cross-train, and grow into new roles * You work well in a team environment and follow directions consistently * You’re detail-oriented and care about doing things the right way * You’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team’s success * Preferred qualifications: Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting. What to Expect on the Job * You’ll be working in a manufacturing plant environment, moving large rolls of paper, operating powered equipment, and handling starch mixing. * You’ll be on your feet for most of you shift. This includes standing, walking, bending, kneeling, regularly or moving up to 40 pounds and climbing in/out of the clamp truck. * You will work near moving mechanical parts and in an environment where noise, vibration, and airborne particles are common * The facility is not climate controlled, which means it can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter * Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, protective footwear, and safety glasses must be worn at all times What We Offer * We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program designed to support the personal and professional needs of you and your family.
