JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe operation of heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dump trucks.
  • Familiarity with freight handling and loading procedures.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Dump/Gravel truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
  • Load and unload materials efficiently, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups, including freight documentation.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Perform basic maintenance and automotive repairs on the dump truck as required.
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
