Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ tractor trailer experience OR completion of a 12-week training program and four (4) week internship.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to travel and work evenings, weekends, and long hours as required.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Good customer service, time management, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Based in Saint John, New Brunswick, this position combines event installation work with the transportation of freight and equipment across the Maritime Provinces. As a Class 1 licensed driver, you will transport materials to and from event sites and participate in the setup and teardown of trade shows and other events. This includes installing pipe and drape, carpet, furniture, signage, and specialized booths, as well as ensuring all equipment is clean, presentable, and in good working order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transportation and Logistics

  • Load and transport items from the warehouse to event sites, and return them after events.
  • Operate tractor trailers in compliance with all safety and transportation regulations.
  • Load and unload freight and equipment by hand or using pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Follow the company’s material handling process to ensure safe, efficient freight movement.

Event Installation and Teardown

  • Install and dismantle trade show and event setups, including pipe and drape, carpet, furniture, signage, and more.
  • Ensure all installed equipment meets client specifications and is clean and presentable.
  • Assist exhibitors and clients onsite, answering questions or directing them to the appropriate contact.
  • Repair and maintain event equipment as needed.

Collaboration and Attitude

  • Work closely with onsite installers, warehouse staff, and management throughout event timelines.
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude with both clients and colleagues.
