Responsibilities
  • Performing a daily pre-trip truck and equipment inspection, including an electronic pre-trip inspection
  • Following written and verbal instructions from the Yard Manager or Shipping Supervisor for deliveries and pickups
  • Delivering of building materials to job sites and/or customers in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that every load is secured appropriately, according to all safety and legal requirements.
  • Counting items on every load to ensure the counts match the attached paperwork.
  • Keeping accurate and legible time logs (when necessary) and adhering to all driving legislation requirements
  • Tagging products with relevant information (i.e., Sales Order #, Purchase Order #, Customer Reference[s], etc.)
  • Completing all required paperwork and returning the same to the Yard Manager or Shipping Supervisor after each run
  • Ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with the Handbook and all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
