JOB DESCRIPTION:

Overview
Grimsby based Class 1 Day Drivers needed. Wright Staff Recruitment are seeking Class 1 Drivers for our client in Immingham. Our client can facilitate both experienced and new pass drivers as they have a wide array of routes available enabling them to offer you work at your experience level.
1-5 shifts available per week between Monday to Friday on an adhoc basis for £16.50 per hour as well as this you will accrue holiday pay for every hour worked.

Duties

• Operate a lorry in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Execute timely deliveries of goods to various locations, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Uphold company policies regarding safety protocols and customer service standards.
• Delivery route is trunking to and from our client’s location in Grimsby across country to Wrexham or M62 corridor or North bound with a curtain sided trailer.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid Class 1, Group C+E HGV driving licence is essential.
• Experience with a curtain sided trailer is an advantage.
• knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
