Description

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can keep things moving and deliver when it matters most? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a Class 1 HGV Driver.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll need to have a Class 1 (C+E) licence and at least 2 years of driving experience, plus a valid CPC and DIGI card. If you’ve done tramping or worked with refrigerated deliveries before, that’s a bonus, but don’t worry, we’ll give full training to the right person.
This role involves a lot of city driving, especially in busy areas, so you’ll need to be confident handling a truck in tight urban spaces. A good understanding of UK driving rules and road safety is important, along with being able to manage your time and work independently.
We’re also looking for someone with a positive attitude and a focus on great customer service, it really makes a difference.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.

Responsibilities

As a tramper, you’ll be out on the road for a few days at a time, moving food products from factories to wholesalers. You’ll be handling multi-drop deliveries and making sure everything gets where it needs to be, on time and in great condition.
You’ll be driving well-maintained vehicles with modern, temperature-controlled trailers, working for a company that really values its drivers and offers great support.

You will be responsible for:

  • Safely driving Class 1 vehicles, delivering fresh and frozen food products to wholesalers and distribution centres.
  • Using refrigerated trailers and keeping an eye on the temperature settings.
  • Making multiple drops across different locations, including busy city areas like London and Birmingham, making sure deliveries are accurate and on time.
  • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after your shifts to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Keeping your logbooks up to date and following all road safety rules.
