We are looking for Experienced Class 1 Log Haul Drivers (Vanderhoof and Surrounding areas) Full-time, Permanent Available
.Required Skills and Experience:
· Class 1 Driver’s License
· Demonstrated commitment to safety.
· Good Communication Skills.
· Ability to work well in team-based environments.
· Strong work ethic.
· Log Hauling: Experience is an asset with professionalism and responsibility as high priority. (Preference will be given to those with tri-drive/quad wagon experience)
· On and off highway log hauling ( forestry roads and mountain terrain) experience and/or other logging experience is preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of CVSE regulations and compliance.
· Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using SAMSARA.
· Conduct Pre and Post Inspections and maintain a clean truck/trailer to ensure it is in good working condition.( regularly wash trucks/trailer and clean cabs)
· Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving and operating the truck
· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
· Communicate effectively with loader men, mill personnel and other drivers to coordinate log deliveries.
· Keep accurate records of log deliveries, maintenance and other required paperwork.
· Must be able to have own vehicle to get to and from work. Employee’s day/shift/rate of pay, will start at or from shop’s location.
