Purdie Worldwide are currently recruiting for a Class 1 or Class 2 Driver/Porter at our Blackburn Branch. This job is not just a driving job, but will including lifting and shifting as a porter as well.
Working Mon-Fri, 8am till 4:30pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays, you will have the chance to work alongside some of the best removal men in the business and learn the art of removals!
Work will include export packing, import and export inventories along with customs paperwork, domestic removals, office and commercial removals, including medical equipment and potential long distance moves including European trips.
You will work in conjunction with some of the biggest removal companies around the world delivering excellence on every job. Full training and uniform will be provided.
Candidates should be physically fit, have strong communications skills, a polite manner and a willingness to go the extra mile for each customer. Candidates must have a Class 1 or Class 2 Driving Licence.
There may be an occasional requirement for overnight stays, or weekends when away on a long trip.

SUMMARY

As a Class 1 or Class 2 Driver & Porter, you will be essential in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and service. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will utilize your core skills in commercial driving and delivery experience to transport goods effectively. Your premium flatbed skills will be crucial for handling and securing various load types.
