  We are J.T. Seafoods Ltd., a refrigerated transport company located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. We seek a skilled, Long-Haul Class 1 Truck Driver (NOC 73300), to transport goods within Atlantic Canada and/or the Eastern Seaboard.
  We are located at 194 A Montague St, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
  This is a 3-year, non-seasonal position. Minimum 40 hours per week.
  Language of Work is English.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

o High School diploma required.
o Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
o Current and clean driving abstract.
o Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
o Experience working with refrigerated transportation equipment is considered an asset.
o Good safety record required.
o String comminication skills.
o Time management.
o Team player.

DOCUMENTATION KNOWLEDGE:

o Accident or incident reports
o Driver logbook
o Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
o Trip reports

o Perform pick-ups and deliveries typically between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and the Eastern Seaboard operating refrigerated service.
o Oversee cargo handling, securing loads, equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with all applicable acts and regulations.
o Perfrom pre-trip inspections of equipment operated including cargo to ensure safetey and roadworthiness
o Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver’s hours of service, occupational health and safety, and transportation of food products.
o Delivering good and appropriate documentation to our customers always in a courteous and timely manner.
Location of Work: Our head office is in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and our truck and trailer yeard is located approximately 25 KM away in Hebbville, NS. Truck driving routes will be within Atlantic Canada and/or the Eastern Seaboard (if the applicant is authorized to enter the United States).
