JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, as well as the ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.

Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
  • Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle as needed.
