Position Summary

We are looking for a professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Truck Driver, you will have the ability to work well with minimal supervision and have a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly and safely. You must have a passion for driving safely and defensively on the roads, for yourself and for others. You are not afraid of hard work and you are able to perform well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment. Primary responsibility is to safely transport liquid or gaseous cargo, such as chemicals, petroleum, or hazardous materials, to specified destinations. Duties include conducting pre-trip inspections of the tanker vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition, as well as loading and unloading cargo following established safety procedures.

  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Schedule : 4 on - 4 off
  • Start time – Varies
  • Competitive mileage rate
  • Must be comfortable driving to Various regions in Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC and Manitoba
  • 2-3 nights’ out(could vary)

    What you will do

  • Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.

  • Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
  • Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
  • Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
  • Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

    What You’ll Bring

  • Valid Class 1/AZ License is required

  • Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
  • 1 years of verifiable tanker driving experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of Super B/ Tridem Trailer experience is required
  • 1 Year verifiable Mountain/ Winter driving experience required
  • Load Securement
  • Dangerous Goods Handling
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable with smartphone technology
  • Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
  • Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
  • Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
