Job Overview:
Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd are looking for a Class 2 Beavertail Plant Delivery Driver to work across various locations within the North East.
The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and delivery services, particularly with Beavertail trucks. Plant experience in particular to the loading and unloading of plant and equipment is essential to this roll.
Duties:
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload Plant & Machinery following safety procedures ensuring correct securement of any loads.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns to DVSA specification – Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle
Maintain accurate driving records and complete daily paperwork as required.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver
- Up to date driver CPC
- Familiarity with Beavertail trucks and the transportation of plant
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labour
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
