Company Description Great Bear is an award-winning 3rd Party UK business of Ambient products, providing nationwide dedicated and shared user warehousing and distribution solutions. We are now recruiting for a Class 2 Driver based at our Great Bear Hoddesdon site on a full time, permanent basis. Job Description Shift: Monday-Friday 06:00am. Salary: £37,337 per annum. As an HGV Class 2 driver you will be essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery to our valued customers. Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork. The role may include curb side deliveries and will include manual lifting. The role may also include multidrop. Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business Any other duties as reasonably required Qualifications Class C entitlement. Physically fit as the role will include manual lifting. Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours. Excellent communication skills Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
