The successful candidate will fulfil a dual role in our business. Driving days will typically involve driving a rigid lorry, to locations across the UK, loading the vehicle and then bringing the collected items back to the warehouse in Caerphilly.
The driving days are often long hours (subject to regulations) starting early in the mornings (often 05:00 or 06:00) and often finishing late (e.g. 20:00). On occasions, an overnight stay might be needed (can be up to 2-3 a month).
The role is very physically demanding, and a hard-working attitude is essential.
The removal process at the client’s site is technically challenging – often including the use of high-lift pallet trucks, machine skates, toe jacks, and much more. No experience is needed with any of this equipment – just a desire to learn!
The role is unique and is ideally suited to an ambitious candidate looking for a dynamic role that blends driving duties with physically and mentally stimulating removal tasks and customer service.
Whilst the driving days can be long, we offer great compensation in terms of role flexibility on non-driving days. For example, some of our staff choose to work half days or take days off in lieu of their driving hours if they have already completed their 40 hours on collections that week.
