JOB DESCRIPTION

An opportunity has arisen for full time Driver to join our team in Dunfermline. Working as part of a team, and reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out multi drop deliveries of building materials to businesses and private properties throughout central Scotland.

KEY SKILLS:

• HGV Class C Licence
• Current CPC and tacho cards
• Qualified HIAB experience is advantageous
• Multi-drop pick-up essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach to work
• Good time management
• Safety conscious
• Good geographical knowledge of Scotland
  Salary: Depending on experience
  Contract: Full-time, Permanent
  Hours: Monday to Friday 0730-1700 and every second Saturday 0730-1200
  Holidays: 29 days Pro Rata (closed for 10 days over the festive period)
  Holidays increase in relation to length of service
  Uniform and PPE provided

• Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law.
• Report damages, safety issues, accidents, or any other significant problems to the Group Transport Manager.
• Overseeing the loading of the vehicle with yard assistants so that products are safely loaded and correct against the customers’ orders.
• Ensure that the arrival and delivery of the goods is safe and respect the customer’s property.
• Check goods off with customer and complete the necessary company paperwork.
