JOB OVERVIEW

Due to continued growth, we now require additional Class 2 Drivers using Curtain Side/Tail-Lift Vehicles. Covering; Cumbria, Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders
This role will be full time work covering Monday to Friday with additional Saturday work as an when required, for which time & half will be paid.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance is beneficial.
• A valid commercial driving licence (Class 2) is required, along with a clean driving record.

Work Location: In perso

• Operate 12, 18 or 26 tonne vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition, ensuring that all required load restraints are in place.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.
