We’re looking for a hands-on Class 3 Driver / Recycling Collector to join our Quesnel team. This is a physically active job where you’ll be in and out of the truck throughout the day, collecting recycling by hand and loading it into the hopper. It’s not automated collection and you’ll play a direct role in helping keep our communities clean and safe.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class 3 motor vehicles with air brakes;
  • Complete daily collection routes on schedule;
  • Safely collect residential recycle blue boxes;
  • Perform curbside residential recycling collection — including lifting, carrying, and loading material into the truck hopper;
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation;
  • Effectively communicate with Route Supervisor regarding any issues on route;
  • Deliver the recycling to the recycle processing facility;
  • Work Tuesday to Friday ( 4–6 days/month in Prince George; transportation provided);
  • Provide a professional collection service and promoting a positive company image;
  • Observe safe work practices;
  • Perform other related duties as required.
