Description

Frank Illsley Woodworking is currently seeking a seasonal full-time Class 3 driver.

Company Highlights:

  • Frank Illsley Woodworking is in Lawrencetown of the Annapolis Valley
  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 35-40 hours per week
  • Competitive compensation $20-$23 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Benefits package available after three months

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive and load trucks in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes.
  • Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of truck
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Trailer use is required with oversized loads from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

  • Valid commercial driver’s license with driver abstract.
  • Minimum one year on NS commercial insurance.
  • Minimum Class 3 License.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Condition 15 will be required to haul large oversize loads on trailer.

License/Certification:

  • Class 3 License.
  • Condition 15.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
