Job Posting: Truck Driver - Class 3 Drivers Location: Cache Creek, BC Company: Minex Contractors Ltd, a division of Infracon Construction Inc., is seeking experienced Class 3 Drivers to support day-to-day operations at the Campbell Hill Landfill near Cache Creek, BC. This is a unionized position, with compensation and benefits governed by the CLAC Local 68 Collective Agreement. Travel pay will be provided for candidates residing within a reasonable commuting distance to the site. Position Overview: We are looking for safety‑conscious and reliable Class 3 Drivers to support daily operations at the Campbell Creek Landfill in Cache Creek. This long‑term role involves operating a range of on‑site trucks, including rock trucks and water trucks, to move materials, manage dust control, and assist with general landfill activities. Successful candidates will perform routine inspections, follow established safety procedures, and contribute to smooth and efficient site operations. Drivers must demonstrate professionalism, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to safety in all conditions. Key Responsibilities: Operate rock trucks and water trucks to support daily landfill operations. Move cover material, waste, and other on‑site materials safely and efficiently within the landfill. Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment, and accessories. Complete daily logs (ELD), inspection reports, and any required incident/maintenance documentation. Perform minor preventative maintenance such as greasing and washing vehicles. Assist in general site duties, including material handling, dust control, and maintaining clean work areas. Maintain clean and hazard-free work zones. Represent Minex and all stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Perform other duties to support overall site operations. Qualifications: Class 3 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (depending on position). Minimum 3 years' experience operating heavy trucks (e.g., dump trucks, water trucks). Experience working in industrial, construction, or landfill environments is an asset. Mechanical aptitude to identify and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team. Demonstrated commitment to safety best practices. Safety Requirements: Must supply own basic PPE: steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, hardhat, and safety glasses. Minex will provide specialized PPE as needed. Must be willing to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing as required. Valid safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, CSTS) are considered an asset. Work Environment & Physical Demands: This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to dust, uneven terrain, and physical labor. Drivers must be able to: Stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, and climb ladders/platforms. Work at heights from stationary platforms. Lift and carry loads of 60–80 lbs above shoulder height.
