About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced driver to join our team based in Christchurch. This role involves transporting goods across various locations in a safe and timely manner, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods to designated locations following all local driving regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and safety of items.
- Verify delivery instructions and ensure accurate logging of deliveries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team to optimise route efficiency.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or repair needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Possess a full New Zealand driving licence Class 5
- Previous experience in a driving role, preferably with bulk cartage of aggregate, snow clearing & bulk liquid deliveries is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good geographical knowledge of Christchurch and surrounding areas.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
