REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
  • Air Brakes Certification.
  • Clean Driving Abstract.
  • Available on Saturdays and Shift Work depending on operational requirements.
  • Delivery Experience an asset.
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

POSITION SKILLS

  • Communication.
  • Reading and Writing.
  • Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class 5 vehicle equipped with air brake systems, ensuring adherence to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies. Pick orders and build pallets.
  • Transport goods and materials to designated locations, securing, and unloading of cargo.
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking the air brake system, tires, lights, brakes, and other components to ensure they are in proper working order. Report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring timely and accurate delivery, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and representing the company positively.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to provide updates on delivery status, potential delays, or any issues encountered on the road.
  • Other driver-related tasks as directed by the Warehouse Supervisors.
