Kelowna Express Freight is a locally owned and operated same-day courier and freight service based in Kelowna. We specialize in providing efficient and reliable freight transportation solutions to our clients throughout the Okanagan region, from Osoyoos to Salmon Arm. We are currently seeking a Class 5 Commercial Truck Driver to join our professional and agile team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience operating a 5-ton cube truck under a Class 5 commercial driver’s license is required. Experience in the courier industry is a plus.
Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and handle packages weighing 50+ lbs regularly. This role requires physical fitness and the ability to load and unload cargo.
Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing delivery scenarios while maintaining a professional and customer-focused attitude.
Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. A friendly and courteous demeanor with both coworkers and clients is essential.

Safe and Efficient Transportation: Safely operate a 5-ton cube truck to transport freight and packages within the designated delivery area, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
Delivery and Pickup: Execute efficient pick-up and delivery routes while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of shipments to our clientele. Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and professional during interactions.
Pre and Post Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its roadworthiness, reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly.
Communication and Documentation: Maintain effective communication with dispatch and clients through our designated smartphone app. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, including delivery receipts, manifests, and other relevant documentation.
