Requirements Schedule: Thursday through Sunday (4-10's) Position Summary Provides support for the warehouse by driving trucks to deliver grocery orders to customers, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Essential Job Functions Operate tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload pallets and freezer tubs off and onto trucks. Operate pallet jacks in a safe and efficient manner. Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of equipment. Perform hook and drop of trailers. Comply with all D.O.T. requirements. Responds to customers’ inquiries about their orders. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy Must have a valid Class A CDL Must be insurable for auto Insurance coverage Ability to lift 80 lbs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of D.O.T regulations and hours of service requirements. Skill in operating pallets jacks, forklifts and tractor-trailers. Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously. Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Education and Experience Must have a valid Class A CDL Minimum of 12-months tractor-trailer experience Physical Requirements The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an applicant or employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequency Definitions The percentages listed below represent the estimated amount of time the employee is expected to perform each physical requirement during a typical work shift. 0–24% — Occasional (up to 2 hours per shift) 25–49% — Frequent (approximately 2–4 hours per shift) 50–74% — Regular (approximately 4–6 hours per shift) 75–100% — Constant (Up to 8 hours or greater per shift) Seeing: Must be able to read paperwork and use e-logs. (75–100%) Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to pass DOT physical. (75–100%) Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in person. (75–100%) Reading/Data Analysis: Ability to read and analyze data on a computer screen and in printed materials. (0–24%) Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must be able to stand, walk and climb ladders. Travel between warehouse and office to contact supervisors and co-workers when needed . (50–74%) Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to perform job duties. (25–49%) Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds occasionally (50-74%) Work Environment: Ability to work in an operational environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment movement when applicable. (75–100%) Safety Requirements: Must comply with all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in operational areas.
