Description Hours: · 40 hours/week · Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm · Work flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays Reports to: Shop Logistics Supervisor ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Ability to do documented pre-trip inspection including fifth wheel plate condition, air line and wiring pigtail · Able to bind loads to proper safety requirements · Able to back a trailer into tight spaces · Know routes for safe travel and clearance · Able to identify materials to be able to check loads · Able to do logbook when necessary · Capable of completing various types of paperwork with 95% accuracy · Loads and unloads trucks with overhead crane and forklift · Other duties as assigned JOB RELATED CHARACTERISTICS: · Follows safety rules/practices and is safety conscious at all times · Maintains good attitude with customers and company employees · Must have good hygiene, work ethic, is punctual and has the ability to work independently as well as a team · Possess excellent measuring skills, with ability to read and understand a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch · Maintain a good attitude toward fast-paced change, lean manufacturing, and multi-tasking · Dependable and regular attendance is necessary Requirements SPECIALIZED SKILLS/CERTIFICATION: · Possess a Class A license · Maintain a current DOT physical card EDUCATION AND?OR EXPERIENCE: · High School Diploma or GED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: · Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty at a minimum satisfactory level · Individuals must possess the required education/experience, job related characteristics and specialized skills/certifications · Current MVR should show no more than one (1) speeding ticket PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. · Climb ladders · Able to stand or sit for long periods of time · Factory setting: hot and cold temperatures; noisy conditions · Able to lift up to 80lbs.
