Description Class-A OTR Truck Driver Canton, OH | Full Time | Salary | $65-75k/year Position Summary B-TEK Scales, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver to safely transport large truck scales and other oversized industrial equipment to customer sites all over the United States. Take a peek at our trucks! https://www.b-tek.com/images/videos/Truck-Driving.mp4 Job Responsibilities · Safely operate a DOT-regulated commercial motor vehicle with 48-foot trailer to transport large truck scales and associated over-sized components · Operate vehicles equipped with manual transmissions · Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy and oversized equipment with care, accuracy, and attention to detail · Perform thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and enroute inspections to ensure vehicle and load safety · Maintain accurate driver logs, hours-of-service records, inspection reports, and delivery documentation · Secure cargo in compliance with DOT cargo securement standards · Follow established routes, schedules, and work instructions, and adapt to changes as needed · Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel · Report equipment issues, vehicle concerns, or safety risks promptly · Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, equipment and garage in clean, safe, and dependable working condition · Work week: Mon – Fri, with availability required for a few weekends each year · Overnight stays per week: 1 to 4 per week DOT & Safety Requirements · Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate class and endorsements · Meet all DOT physical qualification requirements and maintain a current medical examiner’s certificate · Comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing · Adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety policies · Demonstrate a consistent commitment to safe, compliant, and dependable work practices Qualifications · Valid CDL with a clean driving record · Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission commercial vehicles · Demonstrated ability to operate DOT-regulated commercial motor vehicle with a 48-foot trailer · Experience transporting heavy, oversized, or specialized equipment preferred · Strong respect for equipment, procedures, and safety standards · Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently Physical Requirements · Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles multiple times per day · Ability to assist with loading, securing, and unloading heavy equipment · Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions · Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring physical stamina and focus Compensation & Benefits Paid time off and holidays 401k Savings Plan with a 3% company contribution Medical, dental, vision, and other competitive supplemental benefits Performance-based profit-sharing Brechbuhler Scales, Inc. and B-TEK Scales, LLC. are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer.
