Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician Unitex is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Linden, NJ. Compensation: $27.00/hr to $32.00/hr. The salary range for this position is $27.00/hour to $32.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors. Schedule: To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract. Benefits: * Full-time position -5 days per week * Potential for overtime * Union position with benefits * Work uniforms are provided to you at no cost * Paid time off for vacation, personal, sick and holidays * Competitive hourly rate * Stable 100 year old company with growth opportunities * Training on industrial laundry equipment provide by on-site management * Unitex excels at mentoring our entry-level mechanics * Incentive pay for special licenses (Black Seal / Boiler) Responsibilities: * Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and press machines, to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. * Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and work with the team to resolve them promptly. * Assist in repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or systems as needed. * Follow maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. * Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory updates. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred. * Previous experience as a Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or a similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in the laundry industry. * Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial equipment. * Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for laundry equipment. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams related to industrial laundry equipment. * Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in an industrial manufacturing environment. * Solid attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records. * Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team. * Ability to work independently while following instructions and guidelines.
