ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher with substantial primary teaching experience
  • Skilled in positive behaviour management and building trusting relationships
  • Committed to inclusive, relational, and trauma-informed practice
  • Experienced in working with SEMH/SEBD or eager to develop in this area
  • Confident in working collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency teams
  • Ready to lead a subject area or keen to develop into subject leadership
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and a strong team player

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a reflective and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist provision in Southwark. Summerhouse supports primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs who are dual-registered with their mainstream schools. Pupils typically attend on a part-time basis for two terms, with the aim of reintegration.
You’ll deliver a therapeutic and personalised curriculum that supports emotional wellbeing, social development, and academic progress. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external partners, you’ll play a key role in each child’s journey.
