The Boeing Company is seeking a Classification and Trade Data Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join their team in Dallas, TX.
This role ensures our products are accurately classified for importation and exportation from our nine global warehouse locations. The candidate will have a strong knowledge of established classification methodologies utilizing the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Order of Review.
Knowledge of worldwide import and export regulatory requirements is essential to this role. The candidate must also be familiar with the requirements for Participating Government Agencies (PGA) and their equivalents in other countries.
The candidate will use their analytical skills to review trade data, identify compliance risks, develop appropriate controls, and ensure the integrity of our classification database. They must have experience running various types of reports from SAP/GTS systems and other databases. Analytical skills are required to ensure the integrity of our parts databases.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Law, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in export compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs
  • Experience with import and export trade compliance regulations
  • Experience with balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Capability to support government agencies such as BIS, DDTC, and OFAC
  • Experience with Dept of Commerce and Dept of State licenses and agreements
  • Customs Broker license, CUSECO, or other trade certification
  • Experience with SAP, GTS, and EASE preferred
  • Experience working with defense, aerospace, or high-tech industries

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

  • Develops, plans and executes strategic solutions in support of enterprise objectives
  • Interfaces with key stakeholders and provides comprehensive regulatory and policy solutions to enhance strategic alliance
  • Partners on initiatives with regulators in a collaborative environment
  • Develops and deploys regulatory documentation for high profile activity with significant business risk and/or sensitive policy issues involving multiple programs, agencies and authorization types
  • Analyzes applicability of global trade control requirements
  • Leads teams in the development and improvement of enterprise processes and procedures
  • Participates in industry advocacy groups and supports governmental engagement
