PEER COACH FOR LITTLE GRANT PROGRAM

Position Overview Explorer’s Montessori Coastal Cooperative is seeking a Peer Coach to support the LITTLE (Language and Literacy in Early Education) Grant Program for Family Child Care Learning Homes (FCCLH). This role involves guiding early childhood educators in implementing language and literacy practices, providing professional coaching, and fostering excellence in early education for infants and toddlers.
EMCC is a cooperative nonprofit school serving children ages 1–4, where families and educators collaborate to create a nurturing, innovative environment for early childhood education.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in early childhood education, with a focus on coaching or mentoring preferred.
  • Familiarity with language and literacy development strategies for infants and toddlers.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively support educators and track grant activities.
Responsibilities
  • Dedicate time to each classroom per week in alignment with LITTLE grant guidelines.
  • Conduct bi-weekly coaching sessions (both virtual and onsite) to support educators in integrating language and literacy best practices.
  • Collaborate with an Infant Toddler Specialist to set goals and implement the LENA Grow program, a data-driven initiative to enhance interactive talk between adults and young children.
  • Assist with professional development activities, including participation in four training institutes in Atlanta, Georgia, and other required sessions, to reinforce effective strategies for literacy development.
  • Work with providers to ensure compliance with grant guidelines, including record-keeping and documentation for stipend and material reimbursement.
