Job Posting: Family Preservation and Life Skills Worker in Beautiful Northern BC
Our agency is expanding and we are hiring for Family Preservation and Life Skills Workers
We are looking for a Family Preservation and Life Skills Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team to work with adults. The Family Preservation and Life Skills Worker would use family-centered, culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approaches to provide consultation, assessment, intervention and monitoring.
The position is permanent and can be full-time or part-time.
Wage: $22.00-$26.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Social Worker, Human Service Worker, or equivalent.
  • College students encouraged to apply.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle for work use, preferred
  • Available Monday to Friday, and evenings as weekends as need.
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Meet with clients on scheduled session dates and carry out scheduled plans from the service plan.

  • Complete written document and reports as required for MCFD and CLBC.
  • Plan and facilitate individualized client sessions based on their goals.
  • Participate as required in service plan and staff meetings.
  • Consult with Manager on a monthly basis regarding client progress.
  • To communicate effectively with children, families, and the KCDC team.
