Job Details Job Location: Gardendale, TX 79758 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Job Shift: Swing Job Overview: The Clean Drift and Tally Crew Hand will be responsible for supporting a team in cleaning, drifting, and tallying casing (pipe) that will be used for installation by the drilling rig. The role ensures that the casing is free from debris, defects, and damage, and that all pipe inventory is accurately tracked and recorded. This position requires attention to detail, strong physical stamina, and adherence to strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning and Drifting Casing: Assist in the cleaning of casing pipes to ensure they are free from debris, mud, and contaminants before being installed. Perform the "drifting" process, which involves pushing a drift tool through the casing to verify that the internal diameter is free from obstruction and meets operational standards. Ensure that the casing is inspected for damage, defects, and wear during the cleaning and drifting process. Safety and Compliance: Follow all company and industry safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Equipment Maintenance and Housekeeping: Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure they are in good working condition. Help to ensure that the site remains organized, clean, and safe from unnecessary hazards during operations. Qualifications Qualifications: Experience: Prior experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in casing operations, is highly preferred. Experience working in a manual labor role or on an oilfield crew is a plus. Knowledge: Familiarity with drifting, casing cleaning techniques preferred. Skills: Strong attention to detail, especially when tracking materials and verifying equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently within a team environment. Basic mechanical skills are a plus for maintenance and troubleshooting tasks. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and walking for long periods. Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, etc.)
