ABOUT THE TEAM
Carrswood Day Services is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and energetic person to become a part-time Cleaner and to join a dedicated and experienced staff team.
The service is based in Twerton, Bath where we provide a building-based day service for adults with learning disabilities. The service delivers activities focused around key areas including - communication, health & wellbeing, independent living skills, social skills and support with sensory needs. We have a range of rooms including activity rooms, dining/activity hall, sensory room, coffee bar, accessible toilets and bathrooms, meeting rooms and office spaces.
The service provision is currently Monday to Friday between 8am 5pm.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The usual hours of work for this role are 1pm to 5pm Monday to Friday, there may be some variation to this to meet the requirements of the service, which will be with notice from the management team.
Your duties each day will be to clean areas of the building as assigned, re-stock supplies in areas of the building and ensure relevant records are completed. You may be required to close the building up along with another worker from the service. You may also be required to clean external areas; the vehicles we use to transport people and areas used by other teams within the building. You may also be required to undertake basic maintenance and decoration within the service. This role does require consistent physical effort including lifting and carrying.
You will have some knowledge and experience in general maintenance and cleaning. We will provide you with additional relevant training and support you to do your job. Once trained you will often work on your own but with guidance from the service manager and other staff members.
The role is primarily based at the day service; however, you may occasionally be asked to work in other areas, attend meetings or training outside of this location.
