The Role This is a hands-on position where you’ll actively participate in for areas of cleaning operations. You will support the Cleaning Manager and Team Leaders in various cleaning tasks, ensuring the venue is spotless, safe, and professionally presented. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across large-scale event spaces and corporate function rooms. Key Responsibilities Work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for clients, staff, and patrons. Mopping of hard floors Sweeping carpet and ceramic floors Wiping and washing of all walls, sinks and benches, cleaning mirrors and glass Rubbish collection and removal Lower dusting (Less than 2 metres). High dusting (above 2 metres) Routine safety audits and regular safety checks on all equipment whether electrical, mechanical or other items used in connection with the duties. The cleaning and upkeep in an orderly manner of areas assigned for the storage of equipment, chemicals and stock. Spot cleaning of shower cubicles, urinals and toilet bowls Maintaining foyers – carpet – and furniture To be eligible for this role, applicants must have The legal right to live and work in Australia without restrictions. A valid visa that allows full-time employment - Permanent Residency, Australian Citizenship, or a visa with unrestricted work rights. No limitations on working hours. Must not be restricted to 24 hours. Qualifications/Experience: Proven experience in commercial cleaning environments. Familiarity with industrial cleaning products and equipment. Physical Requirements: Bending and stretching Lifting up to 15kgs 3 or 4 times over a shift Pushing/pulling of vacuum and cleaning trolley Ability to squat Repetitive bilateral arm action Forceful arm action, can be rotated Frequent contact with water, working in a wet area Carrying, moving, lifting pushing, pulling extended periods of standing Able to do a lot of walking, up and down stairs, uneven surfaces, and in and out of vehicles Able to carry a backpack vacuum weighing 4 to 6 kgs for up to an hour Personal Attributes: Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Self-motivated with a desire to grow and succeed. Willingness to lead from the front and get hands-on with cleaning tasks.
