Our residential aged care facilities provide essential care and support to vulnerable older people in our communities who are at risk of homelessness. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our Residential Aged Care team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness will help support the comfort, dignity, and wellbeing of those in our care. Your key responsibilities will be to: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and workspaces. Perform routine and scheduled cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising, and waste disposal. Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures. Handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively. Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure the home is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Actively participate in the continuous quality improvement program at the service Respect the privacy and dignity of residents at all times. Requirements for Success Previous cleaning experience in residential aged care, health care, or hospitality desirable Knowledge of safe work practices and infection control. Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, respectful, and committed to supporting older people. Yearly COVID booster and Flu vaccine mandatory Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, referee checks and work right checks.
