KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proven working experience as a cleaner, with experience in a health care setting an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Experience working with biological hazards and Personal Protection Equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to complete tasks in timely manner
  • Flexibility, integrity and attentiveness to detail
  • Problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in an environment of continuous quality improvement
  • Cooperative team player
  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) details, and health and safety internal responsibility processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
  • Follow strict standards for safety, cleanliness and overall appeal.
  • Work closely with cleaning team on scheduling and coordinating cleaning
  • Ensure cleaning is done in a satisfactory way for staff, clients and guests of the building
  • Help ensure building is in working order, including notifying the coordinator of occurring deficiencies or things in need of repair
