Our Davenport, NY sawmill is hiring for a part-time cleaner. If you have previously worked in an entry level general labor position before, you'll be a great fit for this role. This is a full time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer. Part Time Cleaner Responsibilities: Cleaning under and around machinery in a Sawmill Picking up slabs of wood or trimmings Sweeping and shoveling sawdust Ensuring that all conveyors are free of debris Other duties as assigned Part Time Cleaner Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, kneel, bend and reach frequently Must be punctual and able to work alone Part Time Cleaner Pay & Benefits: Competitive Pay Must be available to work 4pm-8pm M-F The advertised pay range represents what Baillie Lumber Co. believes and anticipates paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements. The cleaner will be responsible for cleaning under and around machinery in the sawmill, picking up wood slabs and trimmings, and ensuring that all conveyors are free of debris. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
