The role of the Cleaner at the newly refurbished head office is to clean the premises to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and appearance (both interior and exterior).

Responsibilities
  • Conduct cleaning of all the office spaces in accordance with agreed schedules, including boardroom, kitchens and toilets, stocking up with necessary supplies and/or cleaning products as appropriate.
  • Empty waste bins (offices and kitchens), dispose of rubbish using recycling bins as appropriate and ensure these are placed out by front gates in accordance with collection schedules.
  • Where possible, ensure recycling of as much waste as possible e.g. household batteries, printer cartridges etc.
  • Dispose of larger waste items using local municipal facilities.
  • Clean all interior windows in accordance with agreed schedules. Oversee the work of external window cleaning contractor for higher level windows in accordance with cleaning schedule.
  • Keep all kitchen and domestic appliances in hygienic condition and in good working order. Fill and empty dishwater, to ensure a ready supply of clean crockery and cutlery.
  • Clean accommodation spaces (bedroom and shower room) after occupancy, ensuring fresh linen and bedding remain available and bathroom facilities are kept stocked with personal hygiene products (shampoo/shower gel). Ensure guests have clean towels available.
  • Carry out basic laundry of bedding, towels, tablecloths, this may include occasional washing laundry for members of senior management e.g. ironing of shirts and collecting any dry cleaning.
  • Occasional catering duties , providing refreshments for meetings or other on site functions. Preparing sandwiches, light snacks etc.
  • Carry out any other duties as directed, commensurate with the cleaning responsibilities within this role.

    Pay: £12.44 per hour
    Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
