Salary £13.45 per hour | Permanent, Part Time | 17.5 hours per week | Meadowfield House, Preston | Pro Rata    Job Description: Domestic Assistant Location: Meadowfield, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9NX Hours: 17.5 hours per week 14:00-19:00 Hourly Rate: £13.45 per hour   About the Role We are looking for a dependable and detail‑focused Domestic Assistant to join our team at Meadowfield House. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and be committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness.   Key Responsibilities * Perform general cleaning duties across the building, including communal areas, offices, bathrooms, corridors, and resident areas. * Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish surfaces as required. * Clean bathrooms and toilets to a high standard, ensuring hygiene and safety at all times. * Replace consumables such as soap, towels, and toilet paper. * Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with organisational procedures. * Follow designated cleaning schedules and maintain appropriate cleaning records. * Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with training. * Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the management team. * Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.   Person Specification Essential: * Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. * Reliable, punctual, and professional. * Awareness of health and safety and infection‑control practices.   Desirable: * Previous cleaning or domestic experience. * Experience in a care, or healthcare environment.
