Your new role What you will do :- Working closely with the school site managers Managing the cleaning services across 5 schools and supporting as required the catering service Maintain and manage the performance of cleaning staff and supervisors in line with contractual KPI’s. This will include overseeing the compliance of training and the duty rotas and cover arrangements. Liaise with the Soft Services Manager to provide cover for overtime, annual leave, absence etc and complete relevant staff spreadsheets in both the cleaning & catering teams. To support administration function to the catering teams in the absence of the Soft Services Manager. Allocation of work, quality control and audit, check work schedules and resolve problems. Assist in the compliance with the site waste management procedures. Ensure that RFM procedures and practices are adhered to i.e. Health & Safety and COSHH. Ensure that the cleanliness of the site is maintained to the required standards liaising with the Soft Services Manager on the completion of quality audits. Check all equipment is clean and in good working order reporting any faults to the Soft Services Manager. Ensure safe working methods and report all accidents and incidents as appropriate to the Soft Services Manager. Any other duties assigned by the Soft Services Manager in conjunction with RFMs operational requirements. Work with other members of the FM team in the best interests of the company. Maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the administration and helpdesk service. Ensure H&S responsibilities and accountability are established, and regular reviews are undertaken. To carry out any other office duties assigned by the Management Team as the role evolves. To be responsible for weekly cleaning team talks, distribution of toolbox talks payroll timesheets and all other H&S end of month documentation and other management updates. To implement and respond to helpdesk instructions directed by the Soft Services Manager/Site Manager and/or the Helpdesk Coordinator. BUDGET CONTROL Ensure efficient stock control, usage of materials and complete stock spreadsheets in line with the budget Ensure that adequate control measures are observed, and that labour, uniforms and materials budgets are not exceeded except when authorised in advance. Ensure that Company deadlines are met for the accurate compilation and delivery of Utilise resources effectively to meet objectives at minimum SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience as a Cleaning Manager. Previous experience within the education sector is desirable. A methodical Ability to work on own An enhanced Disclosure with Child Barring will be carried out as part of our background checks.
