THE ROLE:

Barretstown has an exciting opportunity for a reliable, energetic, and positive team member who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across all facilities. We are inviting applications for the role of Cleaner to join our Facilities Team.
Based in Barretstown, between Naas and Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare, you will see first-hand the impact of your work, as you help to Press Play on childhood for children living with serious illness and hear the laughter of camp all around you.
Reporting to the Hospitality and Services Manager, the successful candidate will support the Facilities Team by carrying out daily cleaning duties in a timely and efficient manner. This role is essential in ensuring that all areas of camp are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene for our campers, families, volunteers, and staff.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties efficiently to ensure all camp facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Complete daily accommodation and public area checklists and ensure housekeeping records are filed appropriately.
  • Compile weekly orders for laundry and cleaning supplies as required.
  • Ensure all communal areas and staff/visitor bathrooms are cleaned and restocked regularly throughout the day.
  • Report any maintenance issues in accommodation or public areas to the Hospitality and Services Manager or Facilities Team promptly.
  • Notify management immediately of any damages identified in accommodation or public areas.
  • Attend mandatory training courses as requested, and comply with all health, safety, hygiene, security, and manual handling regulations.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide support as needed for holiday cover and service meetings, including room setup and serving refreshments.
