POSITION SUMMARY: JANITORIAL CLEANING SUPERVISOR

The Janitorial Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing janitorial operations at assigned client sites. This role involves supervising cleaning staff, conducting site inspections, supporting onboarding and training, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining high service quality.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in commercial cleaning operations and team supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning, with at least 2 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety standards (e.g., WHMIS, OHSA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be bondable (Criminal Record Check)
  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence required and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, checklists, mobile apps) is an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work while standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise janitorial staff across one or more client sites to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Train, mentor, and onboard new cleaning staff in proper techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is functional and properly maintained.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients and address any service-related concerns or escalations.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and timely attendance reporting.
  • Enforce health and safety standards and report incidents or hazards to management promptly.
  • Cleaning Technician duties as required
  • Complete routine reporting including checklists, service logs, and inspection forms.
  • Other Duties as assigned
