Key Focus Areas / Deliverables (Statement of Duties)  The following are some of the key focus areas for the position.  These may change regularly or periodically, and duties should be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in the role and to align with priorities.  Work is performed under general direction to achieve the required outcomes.  Within the scope of the role, flexibility, innovation and initiative are expected in providing alternative solutions to operational issues and challenges.  * Day-to-day supervision of staff and daily cleaning practices, and providing coaching to support team members where required  * Ensure that the roster is staffed to meet cleaning needs, PAHSMA Award and payroll and HR processes.  * Undertake cleaning duties as part of the regular roster.  * Undertake the day-to-day administration of cleaning-material stock, including security and stock ordering.  * Contribute to general administration including budgetary oversight and providing reports as required.  * Provide high level customer service and manage relationships with key stakeholders  * Investigate and appropriately resolve complaints, issues or concerns.  * Promote and maintain PAHSMA's Vision, Purpose and Values in all contact with visitors and colleagues.  * Undertake other tasks and duties as directed by the Works Manager.  * Other duties as required and directed from time to time.  Level of Responsibility:  The Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the delivery of cleaning services at PAHSMA to the highest standard.  The incumbent is expected to use independent decision making and initiative to resolve issues to satisfy client and stakeholder requirements. Designated work activities will be completed on time and to a high standard.  The incumbent is responsible for attendance to duties in a cooperative and professional manner, participation in regular team meetings and maintenance of a cohesive team structure, compliance with PAHSMA's policies and procedures and for showing diligence in punctuality and attendance. Regular liaison is required with other team members, internal and external stakeholders and the incumbent is expected to be courteous and well presented at all times.  The incumbent is also responsible for appropriate use and care of tools, equipment and resources. All employees are responsible for participating actively and constructively in discussions regarding performance and for the implementation of agreed outcomes in accordance with PAHSMA's Performance Management policies and strategies.  Positions at this level involve the following Work Health & Safety responsibilities:  * Exercise reasonable care in the performance of all duties  * Comply with all Work Health & Safety policies and procedures  * Report and document all accidents/incidents  * Thorough knowledge of procedures in Emergency Management Plan  * Thorough understanding and knowledge of risks associated with cleaning and the ability to oversee appropriate management of these risks  Direction / supervision received:  The Cleaning Supervisor will report to the Works Manager and is expected to operate under general direction and supervision based on established procedures and practices using initiative and exercising discretion in solving nonstandard issues.  The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgement in the practices, methods and standards to be applied, and the planning and timing required to complete multiple, complex and diverse tasks.  Vaccinations/Health Surveillance:  The following is recommended for this position:  * Hepatitis A vaccination  * Tetanus vaccination  * Audiometric testing at commencement of employment and at least once every two years thereafter.  Capabilities & Attributes (Selection Criteria)  1. Demonstrated staff supervisory skills with the ability to instruct, guide and coach cleaning staff in a team environment, in line with the PAHSMA values (see below).  2. Demonstrated understanding of the principles, practices and standards associated with cleaning, particularly in a heritage and tourism environment.  3. Awareness of work health and safety issues in a heritage and tourism environment.  4. Proven administrative and computer skills.  5. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to liaise, provide advice and assistance to customers, stakeholders and colleagues.  6.
