Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, the Assistant Manager will oversee daily operations, staff management, and site compliance within their designated area. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high standards, ensuring excellent service delivery, and supporting site supervisors and team leads.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and support Site Supervisors/Team Leaders, holding regular meetings and providing mentoring.
  • Carry out quality audits in line with company standards.
  • Manage staff schedules, including absence, holiday cover, and payroll checking.
  • Oversee induction training for new team members.
  • Monitor stock levels and complete ordering/stock takes.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, including risk assessments and accident reporting.
  • Manage HR processes, including return-to-work meetings and recruitment support.
  • Recognise and reward employee contributions while supporting succession planning.
  • Liaise with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
