Description The Cleaning Technician is responsible for cleaning fire, smoke, water, and other types of damage from building and contents, as well as thorough final cleaning upon completion of individual reconstruction and restoration projects. This position provides support on general mitigation and structural cleaning jobs while providing excellent customer service and representation of the company. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans job sites and structural components with thoroughness and efficiency. Inspects and cleans structural areas outlined in the scope of work. Endeavors to return cleanliness of job sites to pre-loss conditions. Leaves job sites neat and tidy by removing all cleaning supplies upon departure. Exhibits care and professionalism when moving customer’s contents to prevent loss, damage, or breakage. Possesses knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, and tools. Follows all cleaning instructions, both written and verbal. Takes responsibility for all company owned tools and supplies. Follows all safety guidelines and instructions with proper use of necessary safety equipment. Works occasional overtime to when necessary to deliver project on time and with excellence. Provides reliable transportation to and from Company shop and work sites. Communicates clearly and openly with Cleaning Foreman, Estimators, and Team Leads. Shows abilities to work independently and with a team. Participates in continuing education and training to hone and develop skills and safety practices. Provides superior customer service. Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects, from 10-50 lbs., necessary to perform job functions. Ability to work in high and/or tight places. Maintain balance in all situations. See and hear well with or without correction to avoid safety hazards to themselves and others. Coordinate movement with eyes, hands, fingers, and feet. Ability to work in varying job conditions from clean to dirty environments and other unsanitary conditions, with provision of appropriate protective clothing and equipment. Accurate vision to read printed materials and a computer screen. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various customers and meeting sites. Ability to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone.
