Description Job Description: Cleaning Technician Time commitment: 40 hours Reports to: Maintenance Director Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt Wage: $18.00/hour Benefits: Eligible Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of building facilities, including office spaces, common areas, restrooms, etc. Meet state licensing regulations for health, safety, and sanitation. Complete daily routine of cleanliness tasks and fulfill other duties as assigned. General Cleaning & Facility Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the building, including hallways, staircases, elevators, and common areas. Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt, debris, and dust. Sweep, vacuum, and mop all hard surface floors. Empty trash cans and replace liners throughout the facility. Clean and maintain drinking fountains to ensure hygiene and proper function. Wipe down walls, picture frames, and other surfaces in hallways and common areas. Clean and maintain windows and interior glass surfaces. Dust desks, shelves, bookcases, and furniture. Restroom Sanitation Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and surrounding areas. Refill restroom supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap. Ensure restrooms remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the day. Surface Cleaning & Dusting Wipe down furniture, blinds, and interior fixtures. Clean ceiling vents, hallway vents, and ceiling fans to reduce dust buildup and maintain air quality. Dust and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, cabinet handles, and shared equipment. Specialty Areas & Facility Spaces Maintain cleanliness and organization in specialty rooms including: Conference rooms (North and South) Lobby and reception areas Breakroom and concessions room Copy room and administrative spaces Pharmacy / health room Gym, weight room, wrestling room, and game room Disinfection & Sanitation Disinfect and sanitize all high-touch surfaces in apartments and common areas including countertops, tables, chairs, door handles, cabinet handles, and light switches. Maintain sanitary conditions in shared bathrooms and communal spaces. Deep Cleaning & Equipment Care Perform deep cleaning of bathrooms, and other high-use areas as needed. Replace mop heads daily and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure proper sanitation. Clean and maintain vacuums and other custodial equipment as necessary to ensure effective operation. Requirements Qualifications: Previous experience with cleaning management and facility operations Timeliness and prioritization of tasks (daily, weekly, monthly routines) High standard of cleanliness Friendly and positive personality Ability to work well with others and collaborate with each department. Able to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
