Our Cleansing Operations team pride ourselves on keeping the City’s roads, footpaths and laneways clean and tidy. As a Cleansing Crew Operator, you will be operating and driving our heavier vehicles to ensure Sydney is kept clean and tidy. You must hold a Heavy vehicle (HR) drivers’ licence to apply for this position. We are seeking self-motivated, dedicated people who take pride in their work and able to complete physically demanding tasks.   To work in the team, you must: • Drive and operate a variety of plant equipment including street sweepers. • Hold current Heavy Vehicle (HR) driver’s licence. • Be physically fit and able. • Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends, and public holidays. • Have a proven clean driving record. • Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed. • Experience in waste removal preferred. The successful candidate should have previous experience in the safe operation and maintenance of plant and Street Sweepers.  Download position description.  This role has the option of a rostered day off every 2 weeks, known as a 9-day fortnight.
