Salary range: Grade 3 £29,436 - £30,288 p.a. plus fantastic benefits Contract: Permanent Hours of work: 36 hours per week Location: Croydon All roles are full-time, 36 hours per week which includes working weekends and bank holidays. This is an exciting time to be working in Croydon as we look to ensure our Parks Cleansing Team is fully resourced, this provides an opportunity for you to work as part of a customer focussed, service delivery team carrying out cleansing operations across the boroughs parks and open spaces. We are currently recruiting 4 Parks Cleansing Operatives. These posts are part of a small but very busy team responsible for the cleansing maintenance of our Parks and Open spaces in the borough. Knowledge of the borough and experience of working in a cleansing and or park environment would be an advantage, tasks undertaken as part of the role include: Litter picking parks and open spaces. Empty litter bins, large litter cages and dog waste bins. Remove graffiti and reporting of vandalism or damage . Open, close and cleaning of public toilets. Ensure the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations. Report hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor. Sweeping of path ways and leaf collection either mechanically or by hand. Driving company vehicles . Use of smart phone devices for recording of completed works. Working in a shift pattern, this role include working weekends and bank holidays. Any other duties as may be required. A full clean UK drivers licence is essential, as driving of 3.5 tonne vehicles and 4x4 pickup trucks is part of the requirements of the role. This is a customer facing role therefore good communication skill with the park users, parks friends groups and members of the public is essential, as well as delivering a quality service, would be an advantage.
