PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Linux-based systems administration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch).
  • Workflow engines (e.g. Argo Workflows)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, VPCs, and load balancing in cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing security controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP, CompTIA Security+).
  • Background in supporting Intelligence Community and DoD mission sets.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL or other relational/non-relational databases.
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and large-scale data processing systems.
  • Understanding of cost optimization strategies in the cloud.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in computer science, information systems or a related discipline and progressive software development experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering (or 2+ years with a Master’s degree). Equivalent experience in lieu of education is considered.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting large-scale data processing, analytics, and visualization systems.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud performance, cost, and security in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure meets evolving operational and customer needs.
  • Automate infrastructure processes to improve system scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
  • Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with federal regulations.
